Build on real numbers, not a rough guess
Plan2Roof is a South African tool that reads your house plan and works out every building material you'll need — bricks, cement, sand, stone, fill, lintels, roof and more. It was built for home owners who have never ordered materials before, and for builders who want a fast, honest second opinion. No building knowledge needed: upload your plan and you get a clear list you can budget from and take to suppliers.
Why you can trust the numbers
Checked against a real build
We didn't guess the formulas. Every section is tested line by line against a careful take-off of a real 3-bedroom house, and comes within about 3%.
Ranges, not false certainty
Every material shows a range and how sure we are of it, so you know exactly where to look twice before you order.
Foundation and walls, never mixed
The foundation (A) and the building up to the wall plate (B) are always separate, each with its own totals. Nothing is quietly added together.
We catch mistakes early
We check your plan for the things that trip people up: a missing window, a slab too big for the walls, a door too narrow — and tell you in plain words.
Built the way SA houses are built
Local bricks and blocks, flat / medium / steep stands, the soil under your foundation. In rand, in South African English.
Quantities only — we're honest about that
We give you material quantities, not prices, and no foundation design. Always confirm the numbers with your builder, and the foundation with an engineer for your soil.
Your plan stays private
Your architect's plan is personal to you, and we treat it that way. We read it to measure it, then it is deleted automatically after a short time — we don't keep it longer than we need to. We never sell or share your plans or your details with anyone.
Your estimate opens with a private link that only you receive. An account is optional — it just keeps your estimates and orders in one place. You can ask us to remove your details at any time (POPIA).
